Polyester polyols are polymers with ester functionalities and hydroxy end groups, which can be reacted with diisocyanates in a subsequent reaction to form polyurethanes. TER Chemicals supplies polyester polyols to its industrial customers for various applications, including the production of reactive hot melts, sealants and coating systems.
Industries
Polyester polyols are raw materials for one-component moisture-curable hot melt adhesives and coating systems. The building block system of liquid/pasty, amorphous and crystalline polyester polyols and a subsequent reaction with diisocyanates enables precise formulation of polyurethane hotmelts. The areas of application of the resulting reactive polyurethane-based hot-melt adhesives are diverse and range for example from profile wrapping, edge bonding to flat lamination. These materials are particularly suitable if a high adhesive quality is needed, as it is the case for kitchen and bathroom furniture
